Avoid Giving Your Child All the Answers

When your child asks for homework help, avoid the temptation to speed up his work by giving him the answer. Instead, read the directions carefully and ask him questions that help him determine the next steps he needs to take. For example, if he made an error on math homework, point out the part of the problem that he needs to double-check.
