Action Songs

When you sing familiar songs, get your baby’s body into the action. Place your infant on your lap and, as you sing action songs like "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Itsy, Bitsy Spider," or "Row, Row, Row Your Boat," hold her hands and make appropriate motions while singing the songs. This activity helps your baby associate certain motions with the words.
