The Magic School Bus: TV Tie-Ins
Ms. Frizzle's class is growing a beautiful garden. But, Phoebe's plot is empty. Her flowers are back at her old school! So, the class climbs aboard the Magic School Bus. And, of course, the kids don't only go back to Phoebe's school, but they go inside one of Phoebe's flowers!
The class finds Ms. Frizzle inside her closet - playing pinball! But this is no ordinary pinball machine — it's played with light pulses, not steel balls. The Friz has to light up the six colors of the rainbow to win the game, and the kids want to help her.
When Ralphie imagines that he's a superhero named Weatherman, the Magic School Bus becomes a glider riding an updraft into the storm clouds. Then the kids become part of the storm — turning from ice crystals to rain. It's a science lesson they'll never forget!
It's Broadcast Day in Ms. Frizzle's class. Ralphie promised everyone he'd figure out what kind of show they should put on. But, Ralphie is sick and can't come to school. So, everyone climbs aboard the Magic School Bus, because if Ralphie can't come to class, Ms. Frizzle's class will come to him!
Ms. Frizzle and her class travel to the Arctic for a close encounter with the cold. Their colorful adventure leads them to discover the basic concepts that involve heat and heat loss.
It's beach day and the whole class is excited. Everyone except Arnold and Keesha, that is. They forgot their report on two beach things that go together. All Arnold and Keesha have is a tuna fish sandwich and some smelly green pond scum. What could those two things possibly have in common?
Once again, Ms. Frizzle gets her class right in the "thick" of things — this time, they're right in the thick ooze of an underwater volcano's magma chamber! As Arnold and Carlos watch from a raft above, the Magic School Bus "erupts" with the magma and lava, and lands atop a brand-new island!
