Immi's Gift

Immi's Gift

by Karin Littlewood Illustrated by Karin Littlewood

Gorgeously Illustrated Story of Global ConnectionsA heartwarming multicultural story about the connections shared by people around the world.Way up north in a snow-covered, frozen world, an Inuit girl breaks a hole in the ice to fish for her supper — and discovers at the end of her line a small, brightly painted wooden bird. She ties it onto her necklace, next to a small white bear. Each day the ocean delivers more treasures, which she uses to decorate her igloo. Animals come to visit her and share stories of faraway lands — until the snow begins to melt and it's time for Immi to move on. Before she leaves, Immi drops the bear carving from her necklace into the fishing hole — and eventually a young boy finds it on a faraway tropical beach.
