When Neal's dog Snorky slips into the magical closet, the kids have no choice but to follow him to Droon. It's a lucky thing they do, though, because a strange thing has just occurred in the land of the Oobja. An earthquake has uncovered the remains of an ancient Droonian city called Tarkoom — and, what's more, the city has started to come back to life! The kids must visit the city and discover a way to return it to the past before its residents, the dangerous hawk pirates, do anything to affect the tenuous peace in present-day Droon.

About the Author
Tony Abbott
The author of three best-selling series for young readers, Tony Abbott didn't actually turn to writing full-time until 1994. Though he first came to attention with his Danger Guys series, begun in 1994, Tony Abbott has continued to gain recognition for The Secrets of Droon, an ongoing series that independent bookstores count in their top ten fantasy book recommendations for Harry Potter fans.
