About the Author and Illustrator
Ken Mochizuki
Children's author Ken Mochizuki dreamed of making movies, but after five years of working as an actor in Los Angeles he headed back to Seattle to write. His first picture book, Baseball Saved Us, reflects his need to tell America that people of Asian descent have been a part of America for a long time.
