A Note to Grandparents for Grandparents Day

Show grandparents that kids care with this special note.
on September 07, 2015
National Grandparents Day is just around the corner.  This year, the holiday is being celebrated on September 13th.
How is your family ringing in this often-overlooked day?
Even if it's not a big holiday that you celebrate with gifts, special dinners, or family outings, perhaps this year your children can at the very least send their grandparents a little note -- a letter of sorts -- sharing their love and gratitude for grandparents.
We've created a basic template for your child to use for a Grandparents Day letter. Feel free to print, hand to your child, and let him or her go! Just click here for the printable, or click on the image below.
The black and white flowers certainly need some color. So if your child can add some color to it, it's kind of like sending along flowers with the note as well!
How does your family celebrate National Grandparents Day? We'd love to hear your family's traditions or customs. Share your ideas, tips, and tricks on the Scholastic Parents Facebook page, or find Amy on Twitter, @teachmama, and let's continue the conversation!
