Making National Grammar Day Fun (Yes, Really!)

National Grammar Day is a great way to have all sorts of fun while learning too.
on February 29, 2016

Today is Grammar Day!

You read that correctly, parents. Grammar Day. National Grammar Day.

Haven’t heard of it?  National Grammar Day was created in 2008 by Martha Brockenbrough, the founder of The Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar and the author of Things that Make Us [Sic].

Your kids may roll their eyes or groan in disgust thinking about National Grammar Day (and parents may even cringe at the thought of re-learning grammar rules), but really, if we didn’t have grammar, we’d be one seriously confused group. And though diagramming sentences may not be everyone’s cup of tea, grammar really can be fun.

So sit back and relax and read up on some of these cool articles, books, printables, and games to find the ones your kids can enjoy the most. These are just a few of our favorite resources and ideas for celebrating National Grammar Day and helping your child love learning about vocabulary, punctuatuon, and all things grammar.
