Scholastic Parents: Raise a Reader

100+ Books Parents Say They LOVE to Read Aloud With Their Kids

Pass along the love of reading by reading aloud with your kids every day!
on March 05, 2014

Reading aloud with your kids is a lifetime gift you'll give. By reading aloud and frequently you are showing kids that reading is fun, entertaining, and full of adventures. It sends the message: "This is what we choose to do and love to do with our time. It's fun, it's interesting, I learn cool stuff, and I can go to amazing places when I read."

We recently asked parents on our Scholastic Parents Facebook page to share the books they love to read aloud with their kids. And the LOVE and book suggestions came pouring in – so we just had to share.

Here are the books that parents said they love to read with their kids -- I'm sure there's at least one new one on the list you'll fall in love with, too!

Happy Reading!
