To enter, visit the homepage of the Scholastic Parent & Child magazine at http://www.scholastic.com/parentandchild (the "Site") and submit your entry online by filling out the entire form. Entry for sweepstakes begins February 5, 2008, 12:01am EST and ends March 31, 2008, 11:59pm EST. One entry per person. No copies, facsimiles or reproductions of the online entry form will be accepted. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES ONLINE. NO OTHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account.
2. Eligibility. Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are currently over the age of 18. Employees, and members of their families, of Scholastic Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and The Children’s Place, their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Winners. Four Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on or about April 8, 2008 by Sponsor, whose decision on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes shall be final. Winners will be notified by phone on or about March 13, 2008. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will receive a The Children’s Place gift card redeemable for $50.00 worth of The Children’s Place merchandise at any The Children’s Place retail location or the The Children’s Place retail website at http://www.childrensplace.com. Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable and no substitute will be offered except by The Children’s Place in the event of prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
4. General. All entries, and rights in information provided with entry, will become the property of Scholastic and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, warrant and represent that their entry information is accurate and does not infringe upon the rights of any other party, and grant to Sponsor the right to use the winner’s name, information provided and likeness for purposes of advertising and/or promotion except as prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, winner and family members also agree to release Sponsor, The Children’s Place, and applicable retail and other involved companies, their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their advertising, promotion or production agencies, from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries or other damages or losses in connection with the prize and/or sweepstakes. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Subject to all applicable laws.
5. Internet. Scholastic and The Children’s Place, their respective parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion or production agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telecommunications malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the entrant, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. If for any reason (including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Scholastic, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes) the online portion of the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Scholastic shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
6. Winners’ List. The names of the Winners will be available after April 8, 2008.
