To enter, visit www.scholastic.com/parent/sweepstakes (the "Site") and submit your entry online by filling out the entire form. Entry for the Sweepstakes begins August 13, 12:01 am EST and ends October 15, 2010, 11:59 pm EST. One entry per person. No copies, facsimiles or reproductions of the online entry form will be accepted. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES ONLINE. NO OTHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account.
2. Eligibility. The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia) who are over 18 at the time of entry. Employees, and members of their families, of Scholastic Inc. (the "Sponsor") and ABC Cable Networks Group ("ACNG"), their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Winners. Twenty-five winners ("Winners") will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on or about November 1, 2010 by Sponsor, whose decision on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes shall be final. Winners will be notified by email on or about November 15, 2010. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Each Winner will receive a prize set consisting of a Family Movie Night kit, Playhouse Disney blanket and Mickey Mouse Choo-Choo Express Fisher Price Toy (Total approximate retail value of each set: $75). Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable and no substitute will be offered except by ACNG in the event of prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. If any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner chooses to decline a prize for any reason, or fails to comply with these Official Rules and all the requirements set forth herein, the prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to a runner-up.
4. General. All entries, and rights in information provided with entry, will become the property of Scholastic and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, warrant and represent that their entry information is accurate and does not infringe upon the rights of any other party, and grant to Sponsor and ACNG the right to use the entrant’s (and Winner’s) name, entry, information provided and likeness for purposes of advertising and/or promotion except as prohibited by law. By entering and/or accepting a prize, entrants, winners and their family members also agree to release Sponsor, ACNG, and applicable retail and other involved companies, their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their advertising, promotion or production agencies, from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries or other damages or losses in connection with the prize and/or Sweepstakes. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winners. Subject to all applicable laws. ABC Cable Networks Group is neither a sponsor of this promotion nor has any responsibilities regarding its conduct or administration, except in connection with the promotion prizing.
5. Internet. Scholastic and ACNG, their respective parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion or production agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telecommunications malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the entrant, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. If for any reason (including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Scholastic, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes) the online portion of the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Scholastic shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
6. Winners List. The names of the Winners will be available after December 15, 2010.
