Started in 2006 by the Armed Forces Foundation, Operation Caring Classroom (OCC) is a nationwide education initiative, held during the week of Veterans Day, designed to bridge the gap of understanding and to foster inclusion between military and civilian communities. Built upon the tenets of education and volunteerism, OCC aims to teach communities the value of their military community, each other, and their neighbors.
