In this section, students will learn about the purpose of disability insurance and examine scenarios to assess the role disability insurance may play in people’s lives.
Pre-/Post-Unit Quiz
What do your students know about disability insurance and how it works? Print and distribute the unit quiz, or have students go to www.scholastic.com/nextgeneration/students to take the interactive version of the quiz and print their answers.
Students are introduced to disability insurance and the role it plays in helping people pay their bills when they cannot work. They will then evaluate the profiles of different characters to assess their financial standing and the impact disability insurance might have on their finances.
