Inspired by BET’s miniseries Madiba, this four-lesson unit with printables explores the journey of Nelson Mandela and others to end apartheid and establish equality and justice in South Africa. Students will gain insight into Mandela’s leadership as well as compare South Africa’s resistance to apartheid with the civil rights movement in the United States.
