Official Rules For THE SCHOLASTIC AUDIOBOOK SWEEPSTAKES (“Sweepstakes”).

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open only to librarians from certified K-12 schools in the United States who are legal residents of the United States (excluding residents of Puerto Rico and Rhode Island) and at least 18 years of age at the time entry. Employees of Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies, their immediate families and those living in their households are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To enter the Sweepstakes, fill out the on-line Sweepstakes registration form (the “Form”) at www.scholastic.com/librarians/audiobookgiveaway. Completion of the Form will automatically enter you in the Sweepstakes. Completion of the Form is the only means of entering the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (United States) on October 1, 2006 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (United States) on January 1, 2007. Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (United States) on January 1, 2007 Only one (1) entry per person is permitted. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES ONLINE, NO OTHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for (a) late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or postage-due entries; (b) telephone, electronic, program, network, Internet, or computer failures of any kind; or (c) failed, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, or delayed computer messages. Proof of completion of the Form does not constitute proof of delivery.
PRIZES: Three (3) prizewinners will be randomly selected from the pool of entries. First prizewinner will receive approximately $350 worth of Scholastic Audio Collection products, second prizewinner will receive approximately $250 worth of Scholastic Audio Collection products, and third prizewinner will receive approximately $150 worth of Scholastic Audio Collection products (prize values are based on suggested retail list price). Each winner will be sent a list of products in the Scholastic Audio Collection and will be allowed to select products from that list up to the dollar amount of the winner’s prize. Winners shall be required to make all such selections at one time. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted by the winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners are responsible for payment of all federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) on any prize received.
PRIZE DRAWING: The winners of the Sweepstakes will be determined by a random drawing on or about January 15, 2007 and the winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone on or about the same date. Winners will have fourteen (14) days from notification to accept the prize by e-mail. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. If a winner does not respond to notification of winner status within fourteen (14) days from notification, or if the winner does not meet qualification criteria, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes deadline.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: If the administration or integrity of the Sweepstakes is compromised or corrupted at any time, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for any human error that may occur in the processing of any entry, nor are they responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer lines failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, whether caused by the sender or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes. Entrants agree that the decisions of Sponsor related to this Sweepstakes and all drawings are final. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants release and hold Sponsor and its agencies harmless from and against any and all damages and claims of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability/right of publicity release, which may require winners to furnish their social security numbers; failure to do so within fourteen (14) days of receipt of such affidavit and release will result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize shall constitute and signify a winner's consent to the use of his/her name, address (city and state only), voice and/or photograph for promotional purposes in any media, including online, in perpetuity ONLY without further compensation. By registering to enter the Sweepstakes, entrants affirm that they have read and accepted these Official Sweepstakes Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes will be ineligible for prize.
WINNERS’ LIST: To obtain a list of the name(s) of the Sweepstakes winner(s), send a request, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Scholastic Inc., Audiobook Sweepstakes, 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012 (Attn: Amabel Fulgencio). Winners’ lists will be available after February 15, 2007, until August 15, 2007.
