The Making of I SPY Spooky Mansion

It takes a lot of people to make a CD-ROM. There are producers, and artists, and animators, and model-makers, and guys in strange jumpsuits. Would you like to meet some of these people? Read on! Also, don't miss the Making of I SPY Treasure Hunt slide show.

The I SPY team put their thinking caps on to come up with ideas for the game.

Interactive Designer Carolyn Drake conceptualized much of the game. She prepared a design document that contained written descriptions and sketches of what the game would look like and how it would be played.

Set Builder Bruce Morozko works from the sketches provided by the I SPY creative team to build the locations of Smuggler's Cove.

Art Director Eleanor Shelton consults with Photographer John Bessler and Executive Producer Susan Gargiulo.

I SPY animator Orlando Robles and Technical Coordinator Sharon Bilman brought the art and the objects in the game to life with computer programs like Photoshop, Director, and After Effects.

Sound designers at Bong & Dern (from left to right: Chris Burke, Hae Young Kim, and John Keith) created the sound in the game and worked with the voice artists.

The I SPY marketing team had a photo shoot just for the packaging.

The programming team of Black Hammer Productions (from left to right: Matthew Schlanger, Joe Ferrari, and Andrew Hunt) put all of the elements together and wrote the code to make the game work.

The Quality Assurance team (from left to right: Danny Tunick, Nicklas Weich, and Eugene Lim) kept track of all the bugs in the game so that they could be fixed before you play the game on your computer.
