The Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") starts on April 26, 2012, at 12:01 a.m. ET and ends on May 21, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to students in grades 2–5 who are enrolled in a public or accredited private school or who are schooled at home in compliance with the laws of the state in which they are located, and who are legal residents of the United States (one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia) (hereinafter referred to as "Entrant"). Employees, and members of their immediate families living in the same household, of 20th Century Fox ("20th Century Fox"), Blue Sky Studios ("Blue Sky") or Scholastic Inc. ("Sponsor" or "Scholastic"), their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their advertising, promotion, and production agencies, are not eligible to enter. Entrants may enter multiple times.
How to Enter: To enter the Sweepstakes, fill out the online Sweepstakes entry form (the "Form"). Completion of the Form will automatically enter you in the Sweepstakes. Completion of the Form is the only means of entering the Sweepstakes. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (United States) on May 21, 2012. All entry fields are to be completed in order for Entrant's submission to be considered valid. Partially completed Forms will not be accepted. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES ONLINE; NO OTHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. No copies, facsimiles, or reproductions of the online entry Form will be accepted. A notification email will be sent to each Entrant's parent or guardian announcing the Entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes. Parents and/or guardians will have the option to deny permission for the Entrant to participate in the Sweepstakes. If the parent or guardian does not respond to the notification email, the Entrant will be entered in the Sweepstakes.
Scholastic and 20th Century Fox are not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections; for lack of availability or accessibility, or miscommunications due to failed computer, satellite, telephone, or cable transmissions or lines; for technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions; for computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; or for any other computer, network, technical, typographical, human or other error, problem, or malfunction related to or in connection with the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an online entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Selection of winners: One (1) Grand Prize winner, four (4) Second Prize winners, and ten (10) Third Prize winners (collectively, the "Winners") will be randomly selected from all eligible entries. Winners and Winners' parents or guardians will be notified via email on or about May 28, 2012. Entries, and all rights to winning entries, become the property of Scholastic, will not be returned, and will be subject to Scholastic's privacy policy, which can be found here. Each Entrant agrees to be bound by the Official Rules. The parent or guardian of each Winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and liability/right of publicity release ("Affidavit"); failure to do so within ten (10) days of receipt of such Affidavit may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize shall constitute and signify a Winner's consent to the use of biographical information and likeness (as further detailed in the Affidavit) for any lawful purpose (including for promotional purposes) in any media, including, without limitation, online, in perpetuity, without further notice or compensation, except where otherwise prohibited by law.
By entering, each Entrant hereby releases and holds harmless Scholastic, 20th Century Fox, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes, including prize suppliers, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and employees of the foregoing (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, promises, causes of action, and liabilities arising out of the preparation for or participation in this Sweepstakes, or any use/misuse of any prize (or any portion thereof) awarded hereunder, including any travel or activity related thereto.
Scholastic and 20th Century Fox assume no responsibility or liability for the selection of any Winner. The Sweepstakes entry and/or acceptance of any prizes constitute a release of Scholastic and 20th Century Fox from such responsibilities and liabilities.
One (1) GRAND PRIZE winner (the "Grand Prize Winner") will be awarded the following:
• a private screening of Ice Age: Continental Drift for 50 people (ARV $600)
• a Nintendo 3DS with an Ice Age: Continental Drift Arctic Games 3DS game (ARV $200)
• a set of Ice Age books (ARV $28)
Four (4) FIRST PRIZE winners (the "First Prize Winners") will be awarded the following:
• a Nintendo 3DS with an Ice Age: Continental Drift Arctic Games 3Ds game (ARV $200)

Ten (10) SECOND PRIZE winners (the "Second Prize Winners") will be awarded the following:
• an Ice Age backpack (ARV $15)

The private screening of Ice Age: Continental Drift will be arranged by 20th Century Fox. The Grand Prize private screening will occur in a theater selected by 20th Century Fox that is located in or near the Grand Prize Winner's hometown. The Grand Prize Winner and the Grand Prize Winner's parent or guardian must attend the private screening. 20th Century Fox will work with the Grand Prize Winner and his or her parent or guardian to select a private screening date; however, any such date must be no more than 60 days after the movie's premiere on July 13, 2012. The Grand Prize private screening includes only the movie screening; all other expenses, including travel and refreshments, are the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner and the Grand Prize Winner's parent or guardian.
No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted by the winners. Prizes are nonreturnable and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. Scholastic reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The Winners are responsible for payment of all federal, state, or other tax liabilities (including income taxes, if any) on any prize received.
Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes deadline.
General: If the administration or integrity of the Sweepstakes is compromised or corrupted at any time, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by non-authorized human intervention, virus, bugs, or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof and/or terminate the participation of any participant (and void his/her entry) whose conduct potentially compromises the Sweepstakes and at its sole discretion to select a prize winner from among all eligible nonsuspect entries received prior to termination using the selection procedures outlined above. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes will be ineligible for a prize.
