Generosity Challenge:
It's so easy to get things, to take from the people
around us, without stopping to give something back. It's
not even always a bad thing, mateys, to accept the kindness
and generosity of others, so don't feel bad. But, it is
also never a bad thing to make an effort to give of ourselves.
What can we share with others? Our time and attention,
our efforts to be a good friend? Our skills, our creativity,
our ability, perhaps to make things? A favorite book or
game? Today's chaw assignment is simple: give of yourself,
then come back and tell me about it. I'm sure you'll be
happy with the results!

I have done generous things that are little, but they
make me feel good like holding the door for a person,
saying nice things, or making food for people. They also
make me feel that that person thinks I'm a nice and honest
person.

My mom was driving me to my friend's house. When I got
there my friend had to clean his room. I helped him out.
We got to play longer because I helped out.

I feel great! I never new helping someone would be so
fun! First I took out the trash before I went school and
it was a sign I would do good today. I should help people
more often!

When I was In New York City with my sister and dad, I
saw a poor girl dressed in plastic bags in winter holding
a cup shaking it. In it was a few pennies. I took out
my wallet and put in five dollars. I smiled at her and
she smiled back.
