Life as a Pity Poor Kid

By: R P
North Carolina, Grade: 6

I thought we were invincible, that no one could defeat us. We were the best of the best, the richest of the richest. Who knew we could lose 15 billion dollars in one day? Yes, our family was those one in a thousand people who were billionares, the most wealthy people in the world. I ate chocalate covered cheesecake topped with the freshest strawberries around and the most natural whipped cream money could buy, for an after-lunch meal! After we lost all our money, our home was taken away, and we lived in a shack, a dirty ugly shack. That's depressing. We didn't even have after-lunch meals! nope, just three bland meals a day, and it was mostly baked beans. Oh, I think I'm gonna cry, I better go to bed now... it's 1:00 in the morning!
