Hello my name is Jhon and im 13 years old. I have lived my hole life great until 1929, just mouths after the inauguration of Herbert Hoover as the U.S. President, some how our stock market crashed and we lost all of our money the same thing happen to a lot of pepole throghout the country. And to make it worse I was living in the Southern Great Plains region which was suffering terrible droughts. A hole lot of black dust started swirling eveywhere making my region unbreatheble, some pepole started calling our region the Dust Bowl. My parents were getting worried about me and my big sisters health so we desided to move to California. We were luky inof to find a family over ther wich my dad use to work for and they let us saty in their home, but we will have to work for them. Me and my dad had to work hard in the farm fields while my sister and mother stayed home working. But California state and local governments began “repatriation” plans that forced us immigrants back to Mexico. My parents started to dought on president Hoover because pepole started to blame him. In 1933, my parents voted for Franklin D. Roosevelt. President Roosevelt came up with a plan called the New Deal. I would never forget all the hard work we went through those years but now im finally getting rest for all that hard work.
