1929 Today something bad has happened. The stock market crashed. I just hope pa hasn't lost his job. He can't! No I am just overreacting. Well, I better go to bed now since people are telling me to shut the light off.
1931 There is some bad news. Pa did lose his job and life savings, where are we going to live? where are we going to work? Well, I better help pa look for a job.
1932 The election is over. I just hope we get a better plan to save us!
