It is 1929 and the Great Depression has just started. My family has just homesteaded in Oklahoma and if the Depression wasn't enough a huge drought hit. All the crops dried up and blow away. At the end of every day your house was buried in sand. Since we could'nt in Oklahoma we moved to plantation in California but shortly after moving to California our Ma and Pa got Vally fever and died. Now my brother and I are alone in a small cabin and because Ma and Pa died ,my brother and I have to do the work they did.
