My life during the depression

By: Jacie S
Virginia, Grade: 8

Times were hard every where. Many families were with out jobs; mine was one of them. We had to change our house in to a hotel so we could buy things we needed. It was horrible I had to wear some of my older brothers clothes my mom tried to make them girly but, it still wasn't the same. Mom had to really stretch our food supply so we could feed all our borders and ourselfs. How I hate going to the soup kitchens. Poor poor sick people stand there cold and hungry. Oh how I wish every thing would turn out write. Oh well all you can do is pray.
