Dear Diary, today was a horrible day in the life of the great depression. We all are going poor and are all losing jobs. Farmers are getting the worst of it. None of their crops are growing and so we are not getting enough food. Therefore alot of people here are dying of starvation. The dryness of the land makes it hard to breathe because of the dust in the air. My dad died yesterday trying to find us food. Now Im busy helping mom with all the chores and taking care of my 4 siblings. Lets just hope things get better soon and nothing has to happen like this again!
