Times are rough.
Papa lost his job at the bank. We have to eat at a Mission and we can't pay our monthly rent. To make matter's worse, somebody stole Papa's car. Mama doesn't have enough money to buy dresses for Sally and I so we have to wear Mama's old dresses that are too big for us.
One day, Papa came home with a new car. Sure, it's beat-up and old, but it's wonderful just the same!
