Today was truly a fantastic day, diary. I was a baseball game with my father when it the magical event occurred. It was the third game of the World Series and the Yankees were playing against the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago. It was the fifth inning when I did it. Babe Ruth pointed his finger right were I was sitting. I was sitting in center field about fifteen rows back. Then when the pitcher threw it, Babe smacked it right out to center field exactly where he had pointed it at. I had a mitt with me at the time (I am glad I did). The ball landed squarely in my mitt as if my mitt was a magnet and the ball and made of iron. I actually caught Babe Ruth's ''Called Shot,'' and there was nothing anybody could do about it. Later, I got Babe to sign it. It is now worth $500!
