It was another dust-covered day when my family left for the East. My friend Tanya and I hugged each other and tried not to cry, as Mom said goodbye to Tanya's mother. Dad was already loading our last suitcase into the car. I took a final look at the house I had grew up in, and at the two small mounds in the back that were my grandmother and brother.
