It was a sad moment during that time. I had lost my home. All because of President Hoover. Thankfully I had my family. We had to live under cardboard boxes. Other people lived under cardboard boxes like us, or tires. I bet the tires were heavy. Everyday we would have to line up to get our food not far from where we lived. The line was very long and I would have to wait in line. Even if I was terribly hungry. Then one day my father got a job building Hoover Dam. The Great Depression ended around the end of World War II.
