Papa said today that if there is no rain by next Tuesday, we will have to move to California. California? I do not want to stay in Cailfornia. I want to stay here, with Mama, Papa, and Pedro. He is my 15-year-old brother. I am Andrea Sanchez. I am 12 years old. Mama is going to have a baby soon. How cruel is it to bring a baby into the world at this time? I fear it is very cruel. 2 weeks later: We are on the way to California. Pedro is not here. Papa dropped him off in a town to get a job. He will send us money in California. Mama had a baby girl. Her name is Paz,which means peace. Will our family ever be together in peace? I hope so. I hope so.
