It seems like no one is themselves any more. I think its because of this thing called the Depression. There's barley any one in school. My Best Friend Emily said she cant go to school because her family cant survive with just her parents working all the time and for their low pay. I don't know why daddy doesn't talk about it except for when he complains about the workers protesting up and down the street. I mean daddy says they deserve it because they just came here and they don't know what they're doing. But maybe its because they do know, but America doesn't have enough money to pay them. Every time i ask daddy if there's any way we could help, he just says stay out of it honey. Why? I want to help my friends. I think its wrong that i have it better then they do. I know i've been here longer, but I don't have to work and neither does mom or Annia. Only daddy and and frankie. Its NOT fair. I going to help the, especially Emily. I know Mommy's going to help me. May be she and Annia can school the kids without pay. I hope my plan works or helps!
