More people are out of work here. I'm grateful that Dust Bowl didn't reach this far west in Texas. Dad had to lay off all his men, and close the store. He donated all his food to the soup kitchens. Thank heavens that Mom got all our money out of the bank before it closed. In my opinon, banks should give notices that they are closing and give people a week to get all their money out. if they did, some people wouldn't be in the crummy Hoovervilles I see.
