Alone in N.Y.C

By: Rebecca W
New York, Grade: 7

January 13, 1933
Dear diary,
I am all alone here in New York City. My parents are dead, my siblings are being taken care of by my aunt and uncle, and I am all alone. No one loves me, no one cares if I freeze to death or if I starve. No one cares. One day that will change, one day, I will once again have a family that loves me, I'll have a roof over my head and food in my stomach. One day, one joyous day. Until then, I am alone. Alone in N.Y.C.
