I am sitting on the corner of Taylor Lane and Melbarn Plaza. We were evicted from our home.I am scared.Papa cannot find work in the city soon enough. Mama,Willy and I are cold and hungry. It is snowing.Mama made up her mind.We are going to the soup kitchen tonight.Tomorrow, Mama will look for work.We must write and tell Papa the news.Mama said Willy and I can only attend school sometimes if there are no odd jobs for us.Willy is 6 and I am 10.This dairy is one of my favorite things. Our clothes are torn and light. The wind is blowing through my body.Wearing only a light purple dress with lots of holes with a coat and boots from last winter I am cold.
