Dear Diary,
Today was my 6 year old sisters Birthday. I went down to the food bank with 25 cents I had been saving since last year, and tried to buy some ingredients for a cake. I failed at my chore because i could not get in the front in time. Aunt Ethel and Uncle James came in to town. They brought Sally Ethel's old jump rope. Mom and Dad made Sally a doll bench from left over fire wood from winter. I wrote her a book I call A Day in my Shoes. It is about a girl living on the Oklahoma trail when she meets a very rich girl who is always settling. They notice they have very different lives but still become great friends. Maybe it will sell when I become a journalist.
