We started our day by working outside trying to sell the bread we made to get money. Most people wanted to get it on credit, but dad didn't let them. I felt sorry for a little girl just about my age. She looked scared and hungry. I slid a piece of bread to her while my parents weren't looking. She ate the bread, but still looked hungry. I felt bad.
