Around the 1930s, the great depression began. My parents almost lost their jobs and had very little money. We didn't have much food to eat and most people even lost their houses. It was a big disaster. My family and I knew some people that moved away to other parts of the world because of the depression. Even my sisters and I had to go to work to get the smallest amount of money for our family. It was really hard to live during the great depression.
