The great deppresion was terrible, nobody could find jobs, most people were living in boarding homes or on the streets. you never wanted your friend to see you in a place where there was free soup and bread. if young girls were poor and their parents owned chickens the mother would make feed sack dresses witch everbody knew only poor people wore them so they would never want to be seen in one. if you are related to someone who was in the great deppresion are not think about them when your parents say you cant get this or i dont like this and just be happy with what you have.
