In 1929 there was an Era called The Great Depression. It was a time of hurt and the stock market crashed many people were in debt and could not support there families. Even in the dust bowl the crops failed and many people died of starvation. The drought was long and terrible. And locusts came. The president of this time is Herbert Hoover.
