There used to be jazz noises coming from every corner, people lined down streets to see them play and snap their fingers along. Father happy,mother wearing her short dress and me helping her put her hair in a bob,her favorite hair style of all times. AS father gets his baggie pants on to take mama dancing to the sound of jazz and then dance to there favorite dance.... the jitter bug, they danced to this song the day they got married. But when father came home mad but also upset me and mama both knew something was wrong. As i listen to the president talking on the radio, on his fire side chats. Mama and papa are in the room talking, I hear mam cry as I walk back to see why I hear papa tell mama once more time... ''honey don't cry it's okay ill fined some other way to make money, even though our stocks just crashed''.This is very bad I thought to myself Even though I don't know what stocks are cause im only nine, I know it cant be good. But I know there's a way I and the president can help. I hear the president talking about these stocks, i turn up the radio as i hear this it makes me wonder..... He says half of the whole country has lost there stocks. i think of this maybe because of the economy? Papas been talking about the economy going down since September 29,1929. So last month is when it all stared.Well, i know that on this day of October 29,1929 is the day we all lost our stocks and this is the day something changed. Not just us but the whole WROLD!!!! Well, mama and papa come to tell me. Tears run down mamas cheeks as papa tells me one more time. I grab my book and start to write and this is what i wrote......
