The Great Depression was a sad and very hard time. Many people lost their jobs, lives, and homes. During this time many people began moving to California since 75% of farm owners lived there. They found many jobs there. Lack of food and water caused malnutrition. Many people blamed their problems on the President. They decided to vote for Roosevelt for President. He had a plan. It ended up working and pulling America out of the Great Depression. The effects, however, did not wear off until World War 2.
