The Great Depression was a time in which the United States was at an economic battle. Immediately after the 1920's, also known as, The Roaring Twenties, the was a decrease in our financial systems. Rich people were forced to abandon their homes and live in ragged apartments, called tenements. It was a very bad era for our nation. President Franklin D. Roosevelt helped the United States rid their economic problems. He began to create organizations to help aid the people of america.
