Esperanza started as a littel rich girl.She got pricked by a thorn.Evry thing went wrong from there.Here papa did not come home.Finally maguel and alfonso came home with papa dead under a blanket in the wagon.there house got burnt down.they snuck away and made it to california.they had a picnic and esperanza met marta.
