It was 1927 and i was playing outside with my best friend Ruthie Smith.I heard my dad's car and as usual i ran to see him.he got inside before i did and told mother,charlie,and i that he had lost his job at the bank and we would have to find some borders to live with us so we could afford to get fed and stay alive! the next day we put an add in the newspaper and finally someone decided to move in. it was a family of four, a mother, a father, a baby, and a little boy about my age.after a while they had packed up their old house and moved into ours.the litle boy,victor was a trouble maker, he was always making fun of the family newspaper i wrote everyday on my typewriter. eventually things got better and my dad got his job back at the bank.the borders moved out and we all lived, well pretty good.(1)
