Everywhere you used to see people playing in the streets laughing and playing with their friends. Now, all you see are people with their heads held low and shoulders hunched down, people crying and stressed from this new challenge life has brought us. Life is slow and dull now, here in the town of Oklahoma. Ever since the Great Depression burdened us with it's presence, all everyone had was great depression. People have lost their jobs, and some men of the family have gone off to war. Mother is worried that Father and Andrew will have to join them, however, Father reasures her that they will be fine. Father has not lost his job yet, buissness is slow, but we still earn enough for just the right amount of food for all of us. However, Anabelle says, anything could happen: one day everything will be fine, and then another day, everything can be taken away from us when we least expect it. Personally, I think we'll be fine..for now..we'll have to see..
