Dear Diary,
Today was another dreadful day. Dad has not gotten back from the ''bonus marches'' yet and I am worried! The ''bonus marches'' are when World War II Veterans go to Washington D.C and ask the government for money. I hope my dad comes home soon. Then mom said we would have to be going through bread lines now! We don't even have enough money for food! I sure miss dad. I hope this terrible time gets over with soon. It turned my whole world upside down. Well i better go help mother sew me my chicken feed sack dresses!
