Things aren't looking good for our family. Dad's been laid-off from the hospital, and he's having problems finding work. Mom, on the other hand, is working round the clock making clothes for richer people. Anna's dropped out of school, even though she's in the top of her class. She's helping mom. At night, I help Mom too. I can't finish my homework, but my teacher doesn't really care. She's too mean to care about anything or anyone except herself and her money. I think I might have an idea to get more money, but I haven't talked to Mom or Anna about it. It's no use talking to Dad these days anyway, but that's beside the point. During recess, lots of other kids are already dashing off to do odd jobs. Of course, I'll have competion, but I've got to SOMETHING. I can't just sit and watch my family being torn apart. It's not right!
