Alot of people were really poor and they made very little money just picking fruit.They only made about 7 cents picking fruit.They had some kids working and others were free to do what they wanted.
Some people had were poor because they the had to pay for doctor bills, for food, and lots of other things. The worst part of living there was that some people have been living there for all there life the were sent to mexico and they had never even lived there. Some had there immagration paper and the officers just tore them and they had to get on the bus to El Paso,Texas and then to Mexico. Event though they had bad parts of life the still manage to live there life happy.
