Tomorrow
Times are tough these days. Papa lost his job on Friday; Mama is so worried about where our income is going to come from. My main worry is that we are going to lose our home. The bank has already been warning us about our monthly dues. Our closest neighbor, the Livingston’s, lost everything to the bank. Mrs. Maria came to Mama and asked her to take care of Allie for a while, whilst their family headed west to California. Of course we took her in. Since she’s fourteen, she’ll be able to work a bit around town to bring in a little money. President Roosevelt is bringing us new found hope. Tomorrow, Papa will search for a job, for himself and John. Tomorrow, will be a new day. Tomorrow, there will be hope.
