Hard Times During the Great Depression

Six months after President Hoover was elected president, the stock market crashed. Millions of jobs were lost and many life savings were gone. People were standing in bread lines for their daily meal. Many children were very sick and miserable. Monopoly, the game, was invented to make people feel rich, like they own things. Unfortunately, it was just a game and no one had a life that good. Every one had a miserable life and was hoping for a much better one, soon.
