I think Esperanza was sad that her father died right before her birthday but on the other hand Tio Luis was happy papa died so he wanted mama to marry him and she said no. I think it was mean to burn their house down just to get someone to marry you. I also think it was smart to sneak out at night, but what is going to happen now.
